Hillsboro Police Searching for “Armed and Dangerous” Man

Armed and Dangerous Man Identified and Being Actively Searched For
On July 15, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings and evidence of a shooting.
Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect as 32-year-old John Smith. Smith is described as a white male, approximately 6'0" tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Smith is considered armed and dangerous.
The Hillsboro Police Department is actively searching for Smith and asking for the public's assistance in locating him. Anyone with information about Smith's whereabouts is asked to call the Hillsboro Police Department at (503) 615-3333.
