Max Krah, German politician and lawyer searched by German top prosecutors office

German authorities are searching the European parliament office of Maximilian Krah, an Alternative for Germany (AfD) member, as part of an investigation into alleged links to a far-right extremist group, Germany's top prosecutors' office said on Tuesday.

Krah, 45, is a lawyer and has been a member of the European Parliament since 2019. He is also a member of the AfD's national executive committee.

The investigation is focused on Krah's alleged links to the Identitarian Movement, a far-right extremist group that has been banned in Germany since 2019. The group is known for its anti-immigration and anti-Islam rhetoric.

The prosecutors' office said that it was searching Krah's office for evidence of his involvement in the group. The office said that it had also searched the homes of two other people in connection with the investigation.
