Mad Max: Furiosa Release Date Announced
The long-awaited spin-off focusing on the popular character Furiosa is set to hit theatres in 2024.
Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures will co-produce the film, with George Miller returning to direct. Nico Lathouris will co-write the script.
Furiosa was introduced in the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road, which starred Charlize Theron as the titular character. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $375 million worldwide. Theron received an Academy Award nomination for her performance as Furiosa.
In the upcoming film, Anya Taylor-Joy will take over the role of Furiosa. The film will tell the origin story of the character, exploring her life before she met Max Rockatansky.
Mad Max: Furiosa is scheduled to be released in theatres on May 24, 2024.
