Germany's First Participation

Germany first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Since then, the country has competed in the contest 69 times, more than any other country except the United Kingdom.

Germany's Success in the Contest

Germany has won the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in 1982 and 2010. The country has also finished in second place four times, in 1956, 1985, 1987, and 1999.

Germany's Recent Participation

In recent years, Germany has not been as successful in the Eurovision Song Contest. The country has not finished in the top ten since 2012. In 2023, Germany will be represented by the singer Malik Harris with the song "Rockstars".
